IRA Ambassador

The federal Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 is America's largest ever climate legislation, with sweeping investments in clean energy research, development, and deployment.  The IRA includes a number of incentives, in the form of tax credits, rebates, and low-cost financing options to make clean energy and weatherization more accessible and affordable for more Americans.  Sustainable Newton is working to help Newton County residents understand and take advantage of all the incentives available to them for installing electric heat pumps and water heaters, electric induction cooking, solar panels, EV charging, insulation, new windows and doors, and other enhancements.  If you volunteer, we will teach you about these programs so you can join our team of ambassadors reaching households through public events, casual conversations, and door-to-door canvassing.

If you have a knack for creating catchy content for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, and other social media platforms, we could really use your talents to capture and share digital images and video across our various platforms.
